How Do I Verify My Identity?

Review and accept the terms

You are asked to read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before anything starts.

Choose your country

Your country of residence. Available countries are marked Available; the rest show Coming soon.

Enter your email

A one-time passcode is sent to it.

Enter the emailed code

Resend if it does not arrive — check your spam folder first.

Enter your mobile number

A one-time passcode is sent by text.

Enter the texted code

Same resend behaviour.

Choose your identity document

In Nigeria: a Bank Verification Number (BVN) or a National Identification Number (NIN).

Enter the number and complete a biometric scan

You confirm the number before submitting, then complete a facial scan. Some document types are checked instantly against the national register; others are reviewed.

Wait for the result

Usually a few minutes. Check progress under Settings → Your account → Verification status: Not started, In progress, Pending, Approved or Rejected.
Verification is only ever needed for local currency. Sending, receiving, swapping and bridging crypto need none of it.
If your details do not match the national register, the Moove App says so and you can correct the number and retry. An ID already linked to another Moove account is refused. Repeated failures need support.

Choose your provider

Search the live list of banks and mobile money operators. Nigeria currently includes Moniepoint, OPay, Palmpay, Standard Chartered and more.

Between 6 and 20 digits.

The account is verified against the provider and saved.
The account must be in your own name. The licensed partner handling the naira leg is required to check the account holder name against your verified identity. An account belonging to someone else — a friend, an employer, a company you are not the named holder of — cannot be used.

How Do I Convert?

Open Ramp and select On-ramp

Choose the fiat currency you are paying with and the crypto you want.

Enter an amount

A live quote appears, with the exact amount of crypto you will receive. Amounts outside the accepted minimum or maximum are flagged before you continue.

Confirm

The Moove App shows the transfer details — account name, account number, bank and amount — each copyable.

Make the transfer from your bank or wallet app

Make the transfer once. A duplicate transfer causes delays and duplicate charges.

Watch it settle

Pending transfer → Pending settlement → Settled. The crypto lands in your Moove Wallet.

How Long Does It Take?

Most conversions settle within a few minutes. Buying crypto typically takes around two to three minutes once your bank or mobile money transfer is confirmed; selling is usually faster and often completes in well under a minute. The Moove App shows a live estimated settlement time with every quote. Actual timing varies with bank processing hours, network congestion and transfer size.

Where Does The Money Land?

The crypto leg settles into your Moove Wallet — the non-custodial wallet in the Moove App, whose keys only you hold. Proceeds never sit with a third party waiting for you to withdraw. What Are The Limits?

Your account carries a monthly ramp limit, shown under Settings → Your account with how much of it you have used. Exceeding it is refused until the next period.

What Does Moove Ramp Cost?

A ramp carries costs on both rails: moove.xyz’s fee, network gas on the crypto leg, and whatever your bank or mobile money provider charges on the naira side.
