# Moove Ramp

> Buy crypto with local currency and cash out back to a bank account — in the Moove App, settling to a wallet only you control.

Turn local currency into crypto, and crypto back into local currency — without an exchange account.

<Warning>
  **The conversion completes in the Moove App.** The web page at `moove.xyz/ramp` previews the rate only. There is no way to finish a Moove Ramp conversion on the web — download the Moove App for [iOS or Android](/get-started/download-app) before you start.
</Warning>

<Info>
  **Live corridors:** Nigeria (NGN) — buy and sell, by bank transfer. Australia (AUD) and Hong Kong (HKD) — buy only, by card. Other countries appear in the Moove App marked *Coming soon* and are rejected until they go live. **Beta.**
</Info>

  </Step>
</Steps>

## How Do I Verify My Identity?

Once. Open **Ramp** and the Moove App walks you through it. How far it goes depends on your country.

    You are asked to read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before anything starts.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your country">
    Your country of residence. Available countries are marked **Available**; the rest show **Coming soon**.

  <Step title="Wait for the result">
    Usually a few minutes. Check progress under **Settings → Your account → Verification status**: *Not started, In progress, Pending, Approved* or *Rejected*.

</Steps>

<Tip>
  **In Nigeria you can start with just your email.** Once your email is verified you can buy and sell up to a capped allowance — currently US\$1,000 over a rolling 30 days. Verify your NIN and BVN to lift the cap.
</Tip>

<Note>
  Verification is only ever needed for local currency. Sending, receiving, swapping and bridging crypto need none of it.
</Note>

<Warning>
  If your details do not match the national register, the Moove App says so and you can correct the number and retry. An ID already linked to another Moove account is refused. Repeated failures need [support](/contact-us/email).
</Warning>

## How Do I Link A Bank Account?

Nigeria. **Ramp → Add fiat account.**

  **The account must be in your own name.** The licensed partner handling the local-currency leg is required to check the account holder name against your verified identity. An account belonging to someone else — a friend, an employer, a company you are not the named holder of — cannot be used.
</Warning>

## How Do I Pay By Card?

Australia and Hong Kong. When you buy, choose **Add card**, enter a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card and tap **Save card**. Card payments are only available once your identity is verified. Each time you pay, the Moove App asks for the card's security code — it is never stored.

## How Long Does It Take?

Most conversions settle within a few minutes. Buying crypto typically takes around two to three minutes once your payment is confirmed; selling is usually faster and often completes in well under a minute.

The Moove App shows a live estimated settlement time with every quote. Actual timing varies with bank processing hours, network congestion and transfer size.

## Where Does The Money Land?

The crypto leg settles into your **Moove Wallet** — the non-custodial wallet in the Moove App, whose keys only you hold. Proceeds never sit with a third party waiting for you to withdraw.

From there, move it anywhere: another wallet you use, any address across the 30+ supported chains, or straight into a [swap](/transact/moove-swap).

[Moove Wallet →](/brand/moove-wallet) · [Non-custodial Wallets →](/concepts/non-custodial-wallets)

## What Are The Limits?

Two kinds of limit apply, and both are shown under **Settings → Your account → Limits** with how much you have used:

* **An account ramp limit** over a rolling 30 days. Verifying your identity raises it.
* **A per-payment-method allowance**, plus a minimum and maximum for each payment.

A payment that would pass either is refused before you confirm.

## What Does Moove Ramp Cost?

A ramp carries costs on both rails: moove.xyz's fee, network gas on the crypto leg, and whatever your bank or card issuer charges on the local-currency side. There is no subscription, no deposit fee and no hidden spread — the quote shows exactly what you receive before you approve.

Every figure is on the [Pricing](/product-prices/how-product-and-prices-work) page.
